About the Poll: You Probably Have Questions

Questions like where, and how soon. I don't blame you--I just got to looking ahead, out of this valley of economic morass, and I think I'm ready to lead you out...again.

When I started this blog back in 2005, it was with the intent on telling people they can throw away their price books as the chief method of finding grocery discounts without using coupons. Here we are six years later, and not only have we transcended the price book, coupon, and other so-called "savings" gimmicks that have cropped up along the way, but now we can throw away our pantries too, but only after we've either consumed or found a new home for the contents we've worked so hard to pay for.

The tale of the ant and grasshopper has come to life, and now more so than ever, with all these people running around from "deal" to "deal" just like unprepared grasshoppers would, and at the top of the food market!

I've found another summit (if you will), and I believe we need to be led away from this frantic consumer-grasshopper confusion toward a place of calm and carefulness. In true contrarian fashion, I like to zig while others are zagging, and right now, others are zagging to the point of confusion and delusion. Basically, we need to get out of here! The "wisdom" of the crowds is piling in, and it's time to sell.

The path I intend to travel isn't a new one--in fact, there are others who've traveled the same path, and are waiting for our arrival. The new summit is more focused on health and simple eating, and incorporates a lot of the things I've already taught you over the years. I guess you could say I've prepped you for this for the last 5 years.

Not only will we be able to put into practice our already-earned skills of saving through various means (and I mean TRUE saving, not gimmick-led saving), and ways to enhance our health through some of these means, but we can share and learn more from the people who await us.

We will be moving to higher ground to get away from the teeming hoards of insects, marketing, and commercialism that infest us now, as well as the food insecurity problems that Wall St. is largely responsible for--even they cannot control the weather, but they don't have to bet against it!

Please go to the poll in the left margin of this page and cast your vote--I hope you like the idea of leaving the marketing, the coupons, the shelf labels, the expired foods, the hyper-couponers, the credit cards and resulting problems, and the greenie-weenies behind in favor of a calmer, cleaner existence with far less money, space, and wasted time than you ever imagined.

In about 5 or 10 years, Jill Cataldo will be leading her flock up the same path (as soon as she can figure out how to make a buck from it), but by then, we will have moved onto somewhere else--maybe even off the web entirely, due to how quickly technology can evolve. It will take her that long to figure out how much money, time, and effort she and others have wasted along the way.

There are no hospitals or doctors where we're going because we aren't going to need them. Don't bother to pack a bag, either (but do bring a toothbrush)--you'll have everything you need when you get there.

We're leaving Frugal Valley--WallyWorld has moved in, and property values are plummeting. Some of you can walk a little faster than I can, but as long as we head in the same general direction, we'll all make it out.
